Welcome to Familion very official and very legal sounding Privacy Policy. The Familion (or, to make it a bit easier, "we", "our" or "us") is committed to protecting you and your family's personal information when you are using this website.

If you are using (or "the Site" for short) or Apps you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

We have written this Privacy Policy to explain to you why we ask you for certain information, when you participate in some of the activities on the Site, what we will do with it when we have it and how you or your parent/guardian can ask us to change or delete such information. We take our responsibilities regarding this very seriously.

Please do ask a parent or guardian to read this Privacy Policy with you and explain anything you may not understand.

1. When will we ask for information?

1.1 We hope that users of all ages will enjoy our Site and we have structured it so that generally you can visit the Site without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information.

1.2 We will sometimes have to ask you to send us some information about yourself such as your name, your date of birth (so we can check how old you are) and your parent/guardian's email address so that you receive emails from Familion Correspondence Department. If you sign up we will send you emails about events we are holding, ideas for games and activities you can do and advice on how to have fun with letters, words and stories. We won't email you more than once a week. We will keep your email address for as long as the Familion exists or until you no longer wish us to contact you (see point 5.2 below).

1.3 If you are 13 years or under please get your parent/guardian's permission before you provide us with any personal information. If you do not have this consent you are not allowed to provide us with such information. If we become aware that you have registered, or are trying to register, without your parent/guardian's permission we will delete any personally identifiable information about you from our records. So please do get permission first!

1.4 We will only ask for information that is reasonably necessary for you to fully use and enjoy the Site and to help us administer an activity.

2. How long will we hold your information for?

2.1 We will only hold your information for as long as the activity continues or until you contact us and ask us to remove it (see point 5.2 below).

3. When will we contact you?

3.1 We will only contact you in relation to any service, activity or online content which you have signed up to or where you have opted to receive further information from us. We won't contact you unless you have specifically agreed to it.

4. Will we ever pass on your information?

4.1 We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your express permission or are required to do so by law.

4.2 We may share information, with our closest affiliates, about you that is not personally identifiable. This is called aggregated information and is information that describes the common traits or collective habits of all Familion Correspondence Department members as a group. It will not identify you as individual or say anything personal about you.

5. What if I want you to amend or remove any information you hold on me?

5.1 If you believe that any information we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete please email or write to us as soon as possible at the address below. Any incorrect information will be corrected promptly.

6.1 We treat the security of personal information as a matter of great importance and we are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

7.1 This website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites we think you might be interested in. However, we do not have any control over and are not responsible for any other website or its content and we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide when you visit them.
